Frequently asked questions

How long does it take to process a request?

We aim to respond to all requests within 30 days. For complex requests, we may extend this by up to 60 days and will notify you. Responses are always free of charge for reasonable requests.

What verification will you require?

To protect your data, we'll verify your identity before processing any request. This typically involves confirming access to your registered email address and answering a security question.

Can I request data on behalf of someone else?

Yes, if you have legal authority to act on their behalf (e.g. power of attorney, parent of a child). You'll need to provide documentation of your authority along with the request.

What if I'm unhappy with how my request is handled?

You have the right to escalate a complaint to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk at any time, without first having to contact us.

Will deleting my account remove all my data?

Closing your account initiates the deletion process, but some data must be retained for legal and financial compliance (see our Privacy Policy for retention periods). We'll confirm exactly what is and isn't deleted.

Right to complain to the ICO

If you are not satisfied with how we handle your personal data or a data rights request, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK's independent data protection authority.
